Dr. Mario World one of Nintendo’s few ventures into the mobile gaming market has shut up shop, with the title no longer available.

The end has been coming for Dr. Mario World for some time. Nintendo announced that their mobile Dr. Mario World game had a sour prognosis earlier this year but as of the start of November, the title is no longer available on iOS orr Android storefronts. While the mobile matching with Dr. Mario World is done for the foreseeable future, players will still be able to get a look at their play history. Nintendo has opened up a Dr. Mario World Memories website, allowing players who really did pour time and money into this adventure to check their play history in Dr. Mario World.

If you don’t have a clue what had support pulled, then Dr. Mario World was a match three escapade where players could compete to plunge pills down a Mario themed arena, matching colors and various other items to clear the deck or beat an opponent. What initially seemed like a fun twist on Puzzle Bobble and even the handheld Dr. Mario games seems to have run into trouble as things progressed. We don’t have the sales numbers for Dr. Mario World but it’s unlikely that things were a total failure for the plumber turned medical professional. We would bet that it just wasn’t as incredibly popular as Pokemon Go.

For now, if you want some Dr. Mario then you’ll have to follow us to the waiting room as we charge our Nintendo Switch and check if the NES original is still open for business via the Switch online service.
