IGN’s Kat Bailey together with BioWare’s Corinne Busche and John Epler showed off more Dragon Age: The Veilguard gameplay. In the video, the protagonist is a Qunari mage that agrees to help Davrin, the Grey Warden companion, with his personal quest. Note that the video contains a number of narrative spoilers.
Traveling through the Crossroads, the party that consists of Rook, Neve and Harding arrive in Hossberg Wetlands. Viewers get a chance to see the Lighthouse and the aforementioned locations, as well as some Mage combat, including the combos between the protagonist and companions.
Davrin is a bold and charming Grey Warden that has made a name for himself as a monster hunter. Though he was raised in a Dalish clan, he craved excitement and adventure. He’d rather make history than reflect on it. Now, he cares for Assan, a young griffon. Fiercely loyal, Davrin brings his enemies down hard with a combination of mighty attacks, teaming with Assan to keep their companions out of danger.
The video also shows off the dialogue system, the inventory, and more. If you had been wondering what Mage gameplay looks like in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, give it a spin! However, be mindful of spoilers. One way or another, the showcase does outline certain in-game stories that took place by the time Davrin’s quest kicks.
