Developer Bioware shared a brand-new trailer for the upcoming narrative-driven RPG Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The team also kicked off pre-orders, revealed PC system requirements and the release date of the game: October 31. Let’s dive right in!
The new trailer showcases the aftermath of Solas’ interrupted ritual. What can be worse than facing against an ancient Tevinter Magister? Facing an ancient Elven God?! Aim higher, in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Rook and their seven companions will have to unite to fight back against two ancient Elven Gods.
“Solas’s ritual is interrupted – but at what cost? The corrupt Elven gods have broken free and are hellbent on blighting the world. It’s up to you to unite the Veilguard and fight back against these ancient rulers.”
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will launch globally on Thursday, October 31, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam (Deck Verified), EA App and Epic Games Store.
In the upcoming installment to the beloved franchise, players will take on the role of Rook. They are a fully customizable protagonist who must rise up, unite their crew and become the hero Thedas needs. They will be joined by a case of seven compelling companions, each hailing from an iconic faction. In addition to their personal stories, they also pack a punch with their unique abilities, and that is something you need when facing against literally divine threat.
- Harding, the dwarven scout, a Dragon Age: Inquisition hero with a big heart, a positive outlook, and a ready bow – as well as unexpected magical powers.
- Davrin, a bold and charming Grey Warden who has made a name for himself as a monster hunter.
- Bellara, a creative and romantic Veil Jumper obsessed with uncovering ancient secrets.
- Neve, a cynic fighting for a better future, both as a private detective and a member of Tevinter’s rebellious Shadow Dragons.
- Taash, a dragon hunter allied with the Lords of Fortune who lives for adventure and doesn’t mind taking risks.
- Emmrich, a necromancer of Nevarra’s Mourn Watch, who comes complete with a skeletal assistant, Manfred.
- Lucanis, a poised & pragmatic assassin who descends from the bloodline of the House of Crows, a criminal organization renowned throughout Thedas.
