The developers from Bioware are back with a new trailer for the newly renamed Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The team describes the game as an immersive single-player RPG where you become the leader others believe in.
When corrupt gods break free from centuries of darkness, the odds will be stacked against you. You can’t do this alone. Rally a team of seven companions, each with rich lives and deep backstories. These are characters to befriend, and even fall in love with. Among them, an assassin, a necromancer, and a detective will each bring their own expertise and unique abilities to the fight. You are never alone; decide who to take into battle and together face down demons, dragons and even ancient gods.
You’ll fight alongside:
- Harding: The Scout
- Neve: The Detective
- Emmrich: The Necromancer
- Taash: The Dragon Hunter
- Davrin: The Warden
- Bellara: The Veil Jumper
- Lucanis: The Mage Killer
Among these, we have had a chance to previously meet four. Scout Lace Harding is a character from Dragon Age: Inquisition that had also made her appearances in the official comics alongside Varric Tethras. Additionally, Lucanis Dellamorte, a Master Assassin of the Antivan Crows, was heavily featured in the short stories both in Tevinter Nights, and in the ones shared on the official site.
Emmrich Volkarin is a long-standing member of the Mortalitasi, the Mourn Watch to be precise. He has a skeletal assistant named Manfred that took part in the trailer above.
Finally, Neve Gallus is a private investigator hailing from Tevinter’s Minrathous. She took part in Tevinter Night and Dragon Age: The Missing comic, where she previously met both Harding and Varric.
Stay tuned! Tomorrow, on June 11th, the devs are going to share 15 minutes of The Veilguard’s gameplay, followed by other goodness.
