Developer Bioware is back with more information about the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the latest entry into the beloved fantasy series. The latest blog post is dedicated to special steps taken to guarantee the best possible PC experience for players.
First things first: the controls. The developers made it their goal to ensure that the game would be comfortable for mouse & keyboard and controller players alike. To that end, there had been over 10,000 hours of user research put into it. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature native support for PS5 DualSense controllers with haptics support in addition to the standard of Xbox controllers & keyboard + mouse. Additionally, you can seamlessly transition between controllers or keyboard + mouse while playing or in menus.
The game will also include full support for 21:9 Ultrawide monitors. Additionally, you can adjust your FOV with the special slider in the settings. Uncapped framerates and full HDR support are in as well. To make it easier to adjust the settings just for you, the devs made it so most changes to Graphics and Display Settings are reflected in real time.
Steam users, rejoice! Veilguard will be completely Steam Native. The game is already Steam Deck Verified; and with Cloud Save on Steam supported, you can seamlessly switch back and forth between your PC and your Steam Deck.
