Update: Dragon Age: The Veilguard received release date and PC system requirements. The pre-orders are now available as well.
After keeping to mysterious and meaningful silence for a while, developer Bioware is back with new Dragon Age: The Veilguard reveals. Or at least the announcement of the upcoming reveals, including the long-awaited release date. Through the official X.com account (previously Twitter), Bioware teased all the good things to come.
The biggest and the most important is the release date announcement coming tomorrow, August 15th. It will be accompanied by a new trailer, so mark your calendars! Later in the week, we will also see high-level combat & PC spotlight.
The week of August 26, we will learn more about the merry bunch of weirdos that will be accompanying Rook on this journey. Here are the previously revealed companions:
- Harding, the dwarven scout, a Dragon Age: Inquisition hero with a big heart, a positive outlook, and a ready bow – as well as unexpected magical powers.
- Davrin, a bold and charming Grey Warden who has made a name for himself as a monster hunter.
- Bellara, a creative and romantic Veil Jumper obsessed with uncovering ancient secrets.
- Neve, a cynic fighting for a better future, both as a private detective and a member of Tevinter’s rebellious Shadow Dragons.
- Taash, a dragon hunter allied with the Lords of Fortune who lives for adventure and doesn’t mind taking risks.
- Emmrich, a necromancer of Nevarra’s Mourn Watch, who comes complete with a skeletal assistant, Manfred.
- Lucanis, a poised & pragmatic assassin who descends from the bloodline of the House of Crows, a criminal organization renowned throughout Thedas.
Following that, August 30th will bring Discord Q&A with the Dragon Age: The Veilguard devs. It is shortly followed by IGN First month-long exclusive coverage beginning on September 3rd. What about the rest of September?.. We can only wait and find out then.
