Dragon Ball FighterZ is Coming to the Switch

Dragon Ball FighterZ

After Jump Force landed during the Xbox Briefing you probably didn’t think that anime fans could get any more excited this week. You’d be utterly wrong. Bandai Namco appears to be absolutely Krillin it at this years E3 with confirmation that DragonBall FighterZ is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Due out on later this year, Dragon Ball FigtherZ is an evolution of the anime fighter. It features 24 of the iconic anime’s characters and blends a host of 2D and 3D visuals to create an utterly over the top display of powers that result in a blaze of super moves and blistering animations. It also feels strangely authentic for this universe and might be the nearest any of us is likely to come towards turning super saiyan.

After achieving considerable success on the Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 earlier this year, the Nintendo Switch incarnation of this insane beat em up is currently in development by Arc System Works. We do not have an exact release date for this yet but it will include the game’s 3v3 battle system and will have support for single Joy-Con support, which suggests we will see local competitive play on launch. If you are interested in taking one of the best Dragon Ball Z games out on there, check out the trailer below.
