If you’re one of those who like to “try before buying,” then you’ll be happy to know that Square Enix has you covered. Earlier today, the company announced the release of a brand new (and free!) demo for Dragon Quest Builders 2. The demo is available on the PlayStation Store and can be downloaded immediately.
As with all demos, the content is limited, but it seems that SE has provided PS4 players with a beefy look at the upcoming game. Players will be able to choose their character and play through both the tutorial zone and the Isle of Awakening. The demo offers a peek at game mechanics, combat, exploration, questing and more. In addition, the new storyline will be revealed throughout the demo’s experiences.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a block-building RPG that is completely separate from the main Dragon Quest universe. It features its own stories, characters, and world while also offering players a chance to try out “unlimited building combinations”. Gamers can dive underwater, above ground, below the surface and much more while also taking on monstrous beasts and more.
DQB2 will be released for PlayStation 4 on July 12th.

I’ve been waiting for this!

though I said that after reading the description on the games page. It will not be the multiplayer experience I wanted. A fun single-player campaign is expected but only a multiplayer building mode. I would’ve loved to be able to play a campaign mode with a friend.
