While Dragon Quest XI: Definitive Edition has been out on Nintendo Switch for some time now, it has yet to land on other platforms. However, a new Steam PC demo has been released ahead of the game’s launch on December 4th. It’s great news especially considering that it offers players up to ten hours of gameplay, a solid 10% of the entire game. All progress made during demo adventures will carry over into the main game if a player purchases it. DQXI is currently available for pre-order for $39.99.
DQXI S is the last entry in the legendary RPG series from creator Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama and composer Koichi Sugiyama. This eleventh main entry is a completely standalone experience that features new characters, a beautifully detailed world, finely tuned turn-based combat, and an immersive story that will appeal to longtime fans and franchise newcomers alike. After its release in Japan, DQXI won multiple gaming awards and received critical praise, including PlayStation’s Platinum Prize and a perfect 40/40 score from Famitsu (an influential video game publication in Japan).
DQXI is also being released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, though there is no news whether the demo will be available ahead of launch.
