NCSoft has announced that a brand new class will be coming to its combat-oriented MMO, Blade & Soul, on September 8th. The update will also include a massive graphics overhaul thanks to the transition to Unreal Engine 4. Players can expect to see better graphics, gameplay, and network optimization as well as a host of new features settling into place.
The Dual Blade enjoys a fast-past style that allows for devastating attacks and “flashy combat”. They utilize a pair of combat styles:
- Way of the Shifting Blades – Pick your winning stance or cycle through them all and keep your enemy guessing on your next move. Attack with both blades facing forward, then charge with both blades facing backward and finish the deal with blades swinging opposite directions.
- Way of the Lotus – Summon your inner Lotus and let your Twin Swords dance through the fight harvesting on fluid and fluttering energy of harmony and balance. Master your way up to unlock powerful skills of true Dual Blade.
Other features of the update include:
- Forest of Echoes where players head off to stop Dark Energy from destroying Savan Village
- Battle UI update
- the new Breaker System
- less lag and more definition to game graphics
