On March 27th, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. and Counterplay Games released the sixth major expansion for Duelyst “Trials of Mythron.” The expansion brings in two new gameplay mechanics and over 100 new cards. The expansion is free at Duelyst.com and Steam.
Trials of Mythron introduces a new card rarity called Mythron. These cards are a bonus that players can obtain for free through accomplishing a feat. Each card in the set has two unique components: Trial and Destiny. Trial is an objective that must be first met before the card can be used. Once that is completed, the card can be played for its Destiny, an effect which remains in play the duration of the game.
In Unranked-Play, a new game mode called Unlimited Format is offering the widest deck choices available. Players can use any card they own, allowing you to play at your discretion! To help players get started, two special events are being held. All players will receive three trials of Mythron Orbs for the first login until April 30th. More orbs can be earned through a time-limited Twitch Drop promotion by watching Duelyst streamers for 45 minutes, this will reward 3 additional orbs.
