Dustborn Hits PC and next-gen consoles in 2021

The creative minds behind Dreamfall and Draugen unveiled a brand new adventure this weekend and confirmed that Dustborn is coming to PC and consoles in 2021.

Grab some snacks and get settled in for a different type of road trip as Red Thread Games gear up to take us all on a story-driven, road-tripping action-adventure about hope, friendship, love, robots. Announced at the Future games Show over the weekend, this new adventure is a third-person, single-player, story-driven experience that looks to be full of colourful characters.

Comic Capers

Set in a post-infodemic world, this graphic novel inspired future finds a group of friends setting out from California all the way to Nova Scotia with a precious cargo in tow. The main protagonist, an ex-con, outcast, con-artist, and Anomal must help get this package and assembled cohorts across the country safely. Thankfully it is more than just safe driving that is required. Like any good comic book hero you’ll wield superpowers and fend off mobs of Puritans. This fanatical bunch of zealots are just some of the problems in your way but you’ll be able to build a team of misfits, each essential and packing their own superpowers to help you through the obstacles in your way. Did we also mention that you’re also four-months pregnant?

Dustborn is definitely not your typical video game. Check out the gameplay intro above and if you’re an indie comic book fan I think that this will instantly appeal to you. If not then head over to the Steam Store page and learn why I’m so excited to see Dustborn hit PC and consoles sometime in 2021.
