Dying Light is getting a sequel and it’s one dark, desperate world, both literally and figuratively. Chris Avellone revealed Dying Light 2 during Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference. The game will take place about 15 years after the events of the first and the world is not improving. If anything, the fate of humankind may be in bigger trouble than before.
According to Avellone, every decision a player makes will have real impact on the world. Every mission will change the morale of the city as well as its landscape. Every decision has both good and bad repercussions, though there are not true “good” or “evil” choices.
“It allows you to carve out your own world,” said Avellone. There are multiple outcomes for every situation.
We don’t know when we’ll see DL2, though we do know it will be coming to XBox One, PC and PlayStation 4. But while we wait, we can enjoy a few minutes’ worth of gameplay action.
