The EA site has been updated with information about a new event coming to Anthem. Called “Season of Skulls”, the event is clearly designed to provide players with autumn-themed thrills and chills.
“The Season of Skulls marks a change from the grim necessity of survival to the celebration of life and courage in the face of darkness.” the blog reads.
Season of Skull is a “season-long event” that provides players with tons of customization rewards for taking part in a series of challenges.
Players of any level can take part in Season of Skulls, though the Incursion story will need to be completed to gain access. Some of the events take place in a special arena. Once there, players will take on “formidable enemies” and will work to stay alive as long as possible. Various modifiers will change gameplay but not the end score. The goal is to climb the seasonal leaderboard.
In addition, those with Freeplay unlocked will find season-related events throughout the game world. There will be challenging new Anomalies. These are faction-themed and challenge players to “battle thought challenging enemies like brutal Scars and terrifying Ghostly Spiders”. Once complete, a tough boss unlocks that changes each week of the event. These are said to drop the best rewards.
During the event, players will earn Crystals that can be exchanged for War Chests that are updated weekly. There are increases to Legendary drop rates and players can purchase Legendary-only War Chests.
