Earlier this week, the NFL announced that the annual Pro Bowl will not be held in 2021 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. However, in partnership with EA, the National Football League has announced a virtual Pro Bowl event that will be played through Madden NLF 21.
The NFL and EA have devised a week-long series of matchups that will see current and former NFL players, content creators, and other celebrities facing off as this year’s crop of Pro Bowl players in events for fans to watch. The activities will be viewable across a number of platforms. These matchups will culminate in an action-packed virtual Pro Bowl game played with 2021 Pro Bowl players facing off within Madden NFL 21.
As of today, fans can vote for their favorite players to be named to the 2021 Pro Bowl. There is no limit to how many votes a fan can make from now through December 17th. There are several ways for fans to select their favorite players:
- On NFL.com/ProBowlVote.
- Through Madden NFL 21 Mobile and Madden NFL 21 on consoles. Plus, Madden NFL players will see Pro Bowl voting content and announcements in-game throughout the duration of the voting period, with more ways Madden NFL fans can play an active role in virtual in-game roster additions to come.
- Directly on Twitter during the final two weeks of voting (December 1 – December 17). Fans can vote directly on Twitter by tweeting the first and last name of the player, tagging the player’s official Twitter handle, or creating a hashtag including the player’s first and last name. All three of these methods must include the hashtag: #ProBowlVote.
NFL players and coaches will cast their votes on December 18th with the final roster being set by a consensus of fans, players, and coaches. “Each group’s vote counts as one-third toward determining the All-Star players who will be selected to this year’s Virtual Pro Bowl.”
