Bethesda Softworks recently released the latest trailer for their forthcoming Summerset Expansion due for release on June 5, 2018. This time the trailer discusses the mystery behind the Psijic Order. This reclusive and mysterious order vanished from Tamriel centuries ago, taking their ancient wisdom with them. The order seems to center around “Mysticism” and “the secrets of the old ways”. So how does this differ from the current Mages’ Guild? Lawrence Schick, The Elder Scrolls Online‘s Loremaster explains:
Unlike the Mages Guild, the Psijics have little interest in teaching anybody anything, and they are not interested in taking an active role in Tamriel. When they did engage in the world, it was only in an advisory capacity, and they withdrew even from that limited role when they disappeared.
The Psijic Order Skill Line will feature a full set of Active and Passive abilities in addition to a unique Ultimate. Over time as you level up in the order
…you will be able to empower yourself and your weapons, slow and freeze enemies in place, and even rewind time!
With all the talk of the Psijics being “Masters Of Mysticism” we feel our inner Dr. Strange bubbling to the surface.
