Worship welcomes a Pikmin inspired apocalypse and an old god, with a Steam demo.
One part Cult of the Lamb and another part Pikmin, Worship is an eccentric end of the world, and you can get a glimpse of what’s coming. Developer Chasing Rats Games just dropped a demo ahead of the apocalypse where players can get on their knees and perform deadly rituals in ac cartoon caper that’s all a little eldritch.
The new demo put on the robes and pops players into the role of a cultist and dip into a few fun rituals. Navigate a comic book world of black and white where there is no shade of grey, just blood red! Draw with your blood across a stylized cartoon landscape and perform blood rite, slay the naysayers, and pray for a Test of Faith. Perform horrible deeds to get rewards. Become more powerful by recruiting followers then send them off to perform the necessary deeds, or just sacrifice them and leave a smear of carnage.
However you try to summon the end times, this demo is a humorous take on community, if intentionally dark. It’s also a look at what’s brewing. The twisted take on adventure RPGs might be a full hour of death, devotion, and mysterious secrets, but more awaits when the game launches. When the heretics arrive for real, you’ll be able to take on the world with four-player co-op, inviting you and your chosen cultists to reign together.
