Things seem to be progressing nicely for Elite Dangerous: Odyssey. The upcoming expansion is currently in alpha testing and Frontier Developments has indicated that the first phase of testing is complete and that phase two has begun. The first alpha event began on March 29th and is part of the Lifetime Expansion Pass or for those who have pre-ordered Odyssey.
Phase two will offer players new experiences thanks to the playable area being expanded to 20 light-years. Players will also gain access to their own starships and can become Frontline Solutions mercenaries out in “perilous Conflict Zones”.
Other new features include:
- A new spacesuit is available for purchase: Manticore Dominator combat suit.
- New starting system: Nervi.
- 300,000 starting credits for new Commanders. (This amount will also be added to existing Alpha Commanders’ balances.)
The full list of updates and changes to Elite Dangerous: Odyssey can be found on the game’s official site.
