Embr Is Out Today

Fire up your engines to save some souls as Embr launches on PC and console today!

Embr the wacky fire fighting physics game from Curve Digital is out today. Players eager to save some cats out of trees and face off against the flames will now find this hot new title is ready to go across PC, PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. After launching into Early Access back last year, Embr is open for business and allows players to pick up a part-time firefighting job and run through burning buildings in a first-person view.

While plenty of sims might take a more sombre approach to their time as a firefighter, Embr is an off-the-wall physics game that mixes the multiplayer chaos of Get Packed with the big hoses and steamy action of firefighting. Players can take on the game solo or work together in online teams tackling fire after fire to pick up tips from clients, earning the ever-so-crucial 5-star rating in order to collect cash, upgrade tools, and hopefully become the ultimate ‘have-a-go hero’ firefighter. As it’s all a bit have a go, there’s always an option to deliver some flame-grilled fast food and earn a bit on the side, with Embr Eats too.

The full release of Embr adds in a ton of bright new buildings across 2 extra districts. These expansive realms play host to plenty of predicaments, where players can use an extra 13 new tools across 5 brand new game modes. If that’s not huge enough, the online mayhem cuts across PC and console with crossplay on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Assuming you and our comrades do well enough, you can even show off some of the many wearable and vehicle cosmetics that are probably fireproof. Assuming you’ve got fire protection included in your insurance, then physical copies of Embr are on store shelves tomorrow. The rest of us can grab Embr for £17.99/€19.99/$19.99 on digital storefronts, or by checking out the official website now.
