ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights the haunting new Metroidvania from publisher Binary Haze Interactive got a new update last night.
Just after launching in June, ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights just got an absolutely free injection of content. As of last night owners of this dark Metroidvania can experience the tale of a young girl lost in a fallen kingdom in a new way. The version 1.1.0 patch adds in a range of new modes, an equipable item, and a movie player. PC players can grab the new addition right now, via Steam, while PlayStation 4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch owners will get the latest version of the game at a later date.
The all-new Maligned Memories Mode is possibly the core of the version 1.1.0 patch, pitting players against the most difficult boss battles in rapid succession, What appears to essentially be a boss rush mode adds a new way to experience the game after you’ve already saved the land from the monstrosities that roam it. If this gauntlet isn’t quite the replay you want then something a little more sedate is also available. Players can relive the most memorable and moving moments of Lily’s journey with Blighted Memories, an in-game movie player. For those that want to experience everything over again, developer Live Wire has added a New Game + mode, porting over abilities and relics from previous playthroughs, as well as a mysterious new end game weapon that we’re going to let you try out for yourselves.
For those of you that missed the Une release, Ender Lilies is a dark fantasy 2D action RPG set in a kingdom destroyed by a rain of death. Now filled with monstrous entities, it is up to players to traverse a submerged forest, a sealed-off contaminated underground cavern, and a grand castle using a range of weapons and some serious skill to take on this incredible looking Metroidvania.
