Amplitude and NGD Studios have announced the release of the Awakening expansion for Endless Space 2. Players will find a host of new content to explore including a new playable faction complete with its own Heroes and fleet.
The Nakalim are strong in technology but weak in science. To empower and grow their technological abilities, they rely on Relics. The Nakalim heroes are masters of exploration, developing systems, and diplomacy. Lastly, the Nakalim fleet is perfect for exploration in heavily defended formations.
Players will also find a new minor faction called the Xirmisala, a group whose skills were determined by the community itself.
Lastly, the Academy is growing to be an empire in its own right. It comes with the ability to manage star systems, fleets, and to colonize new worlds. Those who help them achieve their goals “will be duly rewarded with special Academy roles” that provide special powers and bonuses. In addition, players will gain access to the Academy fleet.
