Collectors, rejoice!
ESO is Adding Item Set Collection System

The Elder Scrolls Online has hundreds of unique items models that can be acquired via PvP, PvE, crafting and other means. With Update 28’s Item Set Collection system, you can add almost all of your item sets to your Collections UI, helping you collect all of ESO’s gear and free up that oh-so-precious storage space!

The Item Set Collection has two main goals,” explains Kyle Nowak, ESO’s Combat Designer in charge of this new system. “First, we’re trying to alleviate inventory burden for acquiring and storing Item Sets. There are over 400 dropped sets in the game, so trying to get all of them can be a huge undertaking. Second, we want to give all players a new end-game chase in the form of the stickerbook.”

The new system will give you a clear idea of here almost all of ESO’s set drops are and which ones you’ve obtained. The ability to track which pieces you’ve looted is important, as it helps to lower the cost of reconstructing the items later. It might sound like a lot, but the team was careful to keep things simple.

“When collecting Item Sets, you need to worry only about the slot, and not trait or quality. Once you’ve unlocked the slot, you can reconstruct it in any trait you’ve researched, and all items in a set have a minimum ‘floor’ quality they start at. We also added robust searching and filtering, so you can easily navigate and find a particular set.”

The team also hopes the Item Set Collection system will breathe new life into activities such as Delves, Dark Anchors, or World Bosses, as you need to tackle those old challenges again to obtain all sets you might have missed or not kept throughout your adventures.
