Everspace 2 Incursions Update Is Out Now

There is a bunch more loot out ion the vastness of space thanks to the free Everspace 2 Incursions update, out now.

Rockfish Games just dropped a new add on for the spaceship looter shooter Everspace 2. Getting out into the great beyond and try out the free Incursions update today. Whether you want to return after a triumphant run or strap in for the first time, pilots will encounter a bigger open world, more lore, and tons of big space battles.

At the core of the release are the deadly incursions. Adam Roslin and his crew have weakened the integrity of the universe. Ancients can now rip through the fabric of reality and into our space. What ensues are epic sci-fi battles where skilled space to fend off hordes of enemies while destroying enemy beacons, closing the path into our realm. This new content kicks in as part of the later portion of the story campaign, but it’s far from the end of the action. New targets mean more loot. This time, legendries, new front, rear, and cockpit modules, and new reliquary treasure items that can be unlocked in the retooled Ancient Rift mode. There are even new abilities, a phot mode, and some striking graphical updates included too.

Incursions also upgrades the in-game engine from Unreal Engine 4 to 5.3. While I’m sure your thrilled to hear about the new features for the developers, it also means Everspace 2 now support Lumen GI on DirectX 12, Nvidia Reflex latency reduction, Intel XeSS upscaler, AMD FSR 3.0 upscaler and Nvidia Frame Generation on compatible systems. Now, space is just as dangerous but even prettier. All these changes to the second in the Everspace franchise are bundled together with waves of bug fixes. All of the changes are listed over on the official Steam Store page. I’m just eager to get strapped back into this intense space combat title and leap into even more badly planned attack runs and save the galaxy across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Gamepass, and PC. You can join the action via console storefronts, GOG, and the Microsoft Store for $49.99 / €49.99 / £44.99 / ¥6930.
