Rockfish Games has announced that a new expansion is coming to Everspace on PC & XBox One. Called ‘Encounters’, the free update will launch in February 2018.

Developers are bringing the new update to everyone as they prepare to also support the XBox One X. This includes, of course, 4K support and improved 1080p graphics.
The expansion will feature a new player ship called the Colonial Sentinel, a medium fighter class ship. It is a formidable ship with lots of new features as its disposal including a special shield, 2x capacity and much more.
Also included in the update are new factory space stations. Pilots can stop by to refine and convert resources as well as upgrade ship capabilities or perform minor repairs.
Along the way, intrepid pilots can head to the Okkar Homeworld to meet new enemies as well as new characters with who offer new questlines. All pilots will bump into them sooner or later, without having to finish the main story. Those who already beat the game entirely, will find a fresh motivation to find out about what these characters are up to.
EVERSPACE is an action-focused single-player space shooter, combining roguelike elements with top-notch visuals and a captivating story. It takes you on a challenging journey through an ever-changing, beautifully crafted universe full of surprises.
