The Internet just got a glimpse of Exodus gameplay with a brand-new teaser that you can watch right now.
The anticipated sci-fi RPG just gave us a tiny glimpse of what awaits out in the cold void of space with a gameplay teaser. Dropped just last night, the new teaser follows a group of Travelers as they blast out into the cosmos. Powerful Celestials, alien worlds, and dangerous situations await. The teaser shows off 30 seconds of in game footage, aliens, and some explosive action.
If you’re thinking this looks a lot like Mass Effect, then you’d be right. Developer Archetype is a studio founded in 2019 by industry veterans from BioWare, 343, and other AAA studios. It looks like adventurers looking to take on this new quest will get plenty of new planets to explore and familiar cover shooter styled combat. This glimpse at the far future comes hot on the heels of the animated addition to the Secret Level anthology and ‘The Archimedes Engine’ novel, both set in the same universe. The look ahead to full release doesn’t stop there. A long form trailer is set to drop today. The team behind Exodus are taking over the home of twitch streamer CohhCarnage to dive into the lore of this massive game and debut the trailer.

Kicking off on over on the aforementioned streamer’s channel, players can check out Exodus between 9AM – 10AM PT / 7PM – 8PM CEST on 17 December 2024. During the livestream, CohhCarnage will be joined by James Ohlen and Chad Robertson, Co-Founders of Archetype Entertainment, and visionary filmmaker Tim Miller, Founder of Blur Studio. Together, they’ll share the creative vision behind Exodus, delving into its focus on Time Dilation, deep storytelling, and unforgettable characters.

Exodus is an upcoming sci-fi saga that follows iconic titles like Mass Effect out in the stars. The latest updates are just the latest bit of world building for a tale on an epic scale. Players take the role of Travelers, humans who set out among the stars to find ancient tech and long lost secrets in an effort to help their worlds. In a universe where the void will swallow you whole, the fearsome Mara-Yama trawl deep space, and ancient evolved humans called Celestials rule over entire worlds, each decision you make could have a fateful outcome.
