Archetype Entertainment just published a lore laden update ahead of sci-fi epic Exodus, detailing the chaotic history behind star travel.
Due to arrive in system and load onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Exodus is the debut game from legendary RPG creator James Ohlen’s new studio. This ambitious new sci-fi epic is a rich and expansive new tale, that just got a lore drop too. The team carving out a place in the galaxy has unveiled a short story, featuring a pivotal race in the upcoming universe, the Elohim.
Players can take a look at the detail over on the official website, but it details the early days of star travel. In a time long lost to the ages, the Elohim shaped the universe. Building stability from the ashes of a great war, this powerful race vanished. Before they disappeared from the galaxies, the Elohim developed arguably the single most impactful discovery any species has known: The Gates of Heaven. These devices hang in space, giving mortal beings the ability to leap across the Centauri Cluster in the blink of an eye. How they came to be and what the story tells us about them, I’ll leave you to find out.
The story can be found on the official website, alongside new art snippets, including a depiction of these Gates. It all sounds very Mass Effect, then don’t be at all surprised. James Ohlen is a BioWare veteran and Development Studio Archetype includes the likes of Drew Karpyshyn. You should keep a close eye on this adventure. Head over and find out a little move about the universe that’s coming over on the official Exodus website now.
