Expeditions Rome Shared Companion Trailers for Julia & Caeso

Following a lengthy blog post dedicated to the companions of turn-based RPG Expeditions: Rome, Logic Artists and THQ Nordic shared the first couple of trailers dedicated to the characters. In them, you can learn more about Caeso Quinctius Aquilinus and Julia Calida, two out of the five companions you will run into in the game.

Meet Caeso Quinctius Aquilinus, the Centurion. A veteran of many wars, Caeso is the consummate Roman legionary and loyal to a fault. He will hold off an army of barbarians alone if his Legatus commands it.

In combat, he is a heavy infantryman (a Princeps) who wades into battle wielding the gladius and scutum of the Roman legionarius, his polished breastplate and his pristine helmet plume providing a fixed point in the chaotic skirmish for his friends to rally around.

The second companion is Julia Calida, the Spy. This self-sufficient speculatrix fled Rome to join the legion disguised as a man. Her talent for stealth and deception made her a natural for espionage.

Calida is a highly skilled Sagittarius (archer) and assassin, and as part of your praetorian guard, she is most comfortable hanging back or seeking out high ground to pick off your enemies at a distance with her deadly shortbow.

About Expeditions: Rome

Take on the role of a young Legatus whose father was murdered by an unknown political opponent, forcing you to escape Rome and take refuge in the military campaign to subdue a Greek rebellion. Step by step, you increase your military prowess, strengthen yourself in the forge of combat, and become the Legatus everyone learns to both respect, and to fear. In Expeditions: Rome, you exert the will of Rome through your actions across the world stage, from the bright blue coasts of Greece to the deep forests of Gaul. Decide how people will view you, and Rome. Will you strike with an iron fist, or speak with a silver tongue? Will you embrace the political heritage of the Republic, or carve your own path as you navigate the complex politics of the Roman Senate? Every choice matters as you decide the fate of your legion, your close companions, and of Rome itself.
