PLAYISM has announced the enchanting Maid Cafe on Electric Street is brining Nipponbashi to desktop on 18 November.
Otaku themed café management sim Maid Cafe on Electric Street is due to come to PC, via Steam, on 18 November 2024. The terribly named but utterly endearing adventure is due to take players on an adventure to save a rundown café and explore the side streets of a very different anime destination.
Shanghai-based indie developer Adventurer’s Tavern takes this new adventure to Nipponbashi, a bustling street in the city of Osaka. Much like the district of Akihabara, it is a draw for local fandom. In among the bright lights an gacha machines, Fuwa Fuwa Café struggles to survive. As the new manager you’ll ditch a toxic salary and instead immerse yourself in the café culture of this new workplace. Rather than hone your economic skills and portion control the lamb cutlets, Maid Cafe on Electric Street is a story-focused adventure game where you enjoy daily life at Fuwa Fuwa Cafe. Make yourself a cup of coffee, relax, and immerse yourself in a heartwarming story, which seems crafted with an unusual level of care.
Alongside an endearing pixel art aesthetic and some kawaii ideas, Adventurer’s Tavern managed to cram in a whole host of notable VA, including Ikumi Hasegawa, Ayasa Itou Sayumi Suzushiro, and Yui Ishikawa. The four fully voice acted maids, the upbeat attitude and soundtrack, tasty meat buns, and detailed anime figurines aren’t all that awaits in Nipponbashi. New managers will get to explore beyond the shopfront and see the sights of this iconic street. Go on dates, check out real life stores, and play gacha machines. This includes collaborations with real stores and indie games, that you can see while out and about. While you’re heading to karaoke or grabbing a bite to eat, look out for some of the following:

The level of detail in the latest trailer alone is enough to convince me to take the job at this adorable café. It might not have the catchiest name, but this cute café sim is sure to please. Although, you should probably do something about the ominous wailing coming from the shrine next to the café. Check out why and see more on the official Maid Cafe on Electric Street Steam Store page now.
