Tribe Nine Will Add Some Extreme Action to the RPG Genre
Akatsuki Games Inc. and Too Kyo Games have announced the stylish new RPG, Tribe Nine, coming to PC and mobile. The developers behind Danganronpa just announced Tribe Nine, a seemingly neon fuelled RPG set in an urban sprawl, fuelled by ‘Extreme Action.’ Due to arrive after a summer Beta test, the incoming action is touted as a chance to explore Neo Tokyo. This familiar cityscape plays host to an oddball adventure with unique characters in a meticulously crafted narrative. The futuristic backdrop for this escapade is a country ruled by deadly games. Groups of teens are sent in to fight a life-or-death battles to reclaim their stolen dreams and freedom.
This might all sound a little like other dystopian titles, but the interactive adventure stands apart with a range of striking visuals and plenty of ways to play. In Tribe Nine, players progress by controlling a variety of quirky characters and exploring the futuristic Neo Tokyo, encountering battles and various other events on the city streets. These could be massive boss battles, where character’s unique abilities and builds will come in handy, or mini games that drop valuable treasure.
Checking out the trailer, which you can see above, there’s certainly an element of inspiration from the likes of The World Ends With You. A group of teens in a stylized metropolis, kicking ass across PC and mobile. While this title is still in development, a closed beta test for the Steam version is scheduled for August 2024.
