Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout, the cute competitive knockout game is getting a monstrous new Godzilla skin.
Ahead of Godzilla Day, yes that is a thing, Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout’s Mediatonic and Toho Co Ltd are unleashing Godzilla on the unsuspecting players of Fall Guys. While this might sound like the start of a massive disaster movie marathon, it is actually a celebration set to run alongside the Godzilla Festival in Japan. Beginning November 3,the king of monster movies comes to Fall Guys in the form of a cute new costume for the beans. The purple add on for your player avatar allows gamers to dress up and roar into action as the famous Kaiju, but only if they grab the skin before it vanishes.
For a limited time, fans will have the opportunity to use the all-new Godzilla skin available to players for 10 Crowns total. The costume features the movie star’s trademark three rows of dorsal fins and can be swapped out for a different color, in case purple isn’t to your liking. This new costume falls just as Season 2 of the knockout title settles into place, featuring a whole host of medieval-themed games, costumes and features.
While you might not think these two franchises go hand in hand, the Fall Guys team are adamant the two couldn’t be better suited. “There are many parallels to be drawn between the mighty Godzilla and an average Fall Guy; they are both fiercely competitive, they battle on an international stage with incredibly high stakes, they always get back up after being knocked down, and according to worrying reports from our social media channels, they are both much taller than you’d expect,” said Jeff Tanton, VP of Creative, Mediatonic. “We are proud and deeply honoured to share the stage with the greatest Kaiju – and if anyone is still struggling to get a crown with this costume, though it may sound primitive and un-scientific, we recommend that through the fairies, they could perhaps ask Infant Island for help?”
