Fallout 76 Adds Free Gleaming Depths Update

Bethesda has announced the arrival of a free Fallout 76 update called Gleaming Depths. This new content expansion adds Raids where players “descend underground into a former Enclave laboratory where cutting-edge research on Ultracite once promised to reshape Appalachia.” Fancy words for four well-clad players head into these areas to take on all comers with smart strategies, top-notch builds, and teamwork in order to survive.

The launch trailer offers players a peek at how Raids will unfold and how crucial teamwork is to being a successful raider.

During the course of the raid, players will encounter new enemies, including a new boss called the Ultracite Terror. This mutated monster is the biggest in any Fallout game to date and will fight with cunning to defeat intrepid explorers. In addition, there are a number of challenges and puzzles players will need to unravel along the way.

But with great risk comes great reward and the FO76 raids aim to please. The Legendary System has expanded to 4-stars which, of course, means that raiders can score 4-star Legendary weapons, armor, and mods. Players can also earn new titles and C.A.M.P. pets to showcase their prowess.

Season 19: The Scientific Forge is also launching alongside Raids. Players will explore the Enclave, a “deep-state faction comprised by AI supercomputer, M.O.D.U.S.” It is driven to rebuild the country using science that yields “technologically trendy in-game rewards.” Learn more about Season 19 here.
