Amazon Prime gaming is about to unleash a whole new month of free loot during June 2022, and this includes an eclectic mix of explosive shooters, cute kitties, and some Pokémon.
With June 2022 just about to arrive, Prime Gaming subscribers are about to get even more loot for the sum total of not a cent. As usual, Amazon Prime subscribers who also happen to love gaming are about to get a whole wealth of games this month. After May gave us Dead Space, it’s looking like we’re about to see a very different line-up this time around.
Free games
Far Cry 4
Far Cry 4 headlines the latest array of free games for Prime subs. Published by Ubisoft and returning to the first person shooter franchise once more, this adventure dropped in 2014 ahead of the more recent Far Cry 5, producing an entirely new narrative for players picking up this title. Rather than carry on the story from hugely successful Far Cry 3, this instalment follows the tale of Ajay Ghale, a Kyrati-American who is on a quest to spread his deceased mother’s ashes in the fictional country of Kyrat. Somehow, this manages to end up involving a deadly antagonist, elephants, explosions, and assault rifles.
Calico
Calico is possibly my other must play pick form this month’s free games. While the critters in this aren’t as big or stampy as Far Cry’s elephants, the cats in Calico still demand attention. This cute cat café builder fits firmly into the wholesome game genre. Anybody grabbing this pastel colored kitty sim will find themselves tasked with rebuilding the town’s cat café. You’ll build up the café by filling it with furniture, fun decorations, yummy pastries and get it bustling with animals again. All the while, like any good slice of life sim, you can explore the surrounding town and get to know all the fluffy residents that make this a clawsome indie title.
WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship
If you’re looking for something even faster than a cat that’s just heard a packet of Dreamies being opened then WRC 8 is first choice. This racing sim that steps beyond the asphalt zips through 14 countries on 100 tracks as players enjoy the most complete and authentic official WRC simulation yet, equipped with new physics for all surfaces, a completely redesigned career mode, dynamic weather conditions and more.
Escape from Monkey Island
A slower pace and a more logical challenge, Escape from Monkey Island is the 4th entry in the classic Monkey Island series and originally launched in 200. Layers familiar with the franchise will be able to retread their earlier steps across this series ass Guybrush Threepwood and Elaine Marley return from their honeymoon, where they are met with a mysterious stranger, Charles L. Charles, who organizes a campaign to steal Guybrush’s title of governor. Maybe it’s time to get out now.
Across the Grooves
A beautiful and offbeat exploration adventure that mixes time bending mechanics and audio into a gorgeous visual spectacle. Travel across Europe and experience it in a very different way in this indie title.
Astrologaster
Laugh your way through Shakespeare’s London as players take on the role of ‘Doctor’ Simon Forman who treats his patients using the peak of modern medicine, astrology.
Free Loot
Alongside the free games, Prime will also drop plenty of in game loot for players. This time we can expect more free in game items for Call of Duty, FIFA 22, Overwatch, Fall Guys and more. There’s also an appearance by Niantic’s massive mobile title, Pokémon GO. Over the next few months keep an eye out for bundles of bonus items—including Poké Balls, Max Revives, and more—in Pokémon GO every two weeks, and Prime members can now claim the first of these bundles, featuring 30 Poké Balls, five Max Revives, and one Star Piece. This first of these is available right now over on the Prime gaming portal.
