Far From Home Ship A New Trailer For Forever Skies

Forever Skies, the sci-fi survival sim just landed a brand new trailer at the Future Games Spring Showcase and we’re ready to get down to the docks.

Far From Home just gave us all a look at upcoming first person airship adventure, Forever Skies. Launching the new teaser at the Future games Show Spring Showcase, the Polish development studio is likely hoping we’ll book our tickets ahead of time with this new extended gameplay trailer.

The new trailer gives us a good look at the world of Forever Skies. Over the course of 3 minutes, the latest trailer previews a world devastated by climate change. In the aftermath of an ecological disaster, civilization is gone. Anybody that remains must float above the desolation in roaming airships, but the future of humanity still lies below this temporary respite. Descending down into the ruins, players must explore above and below the dust in this strange new world, collecting samples and hunting for specific virus strains to find a cure for what remains of humanity, currently displaced in Earth’s orbit. We get a small glimpse of this desolate planet, as well as the tools that players can use to locate potential research.

Of course, things aren’t as simple as hacking computers. Forever Skies has a savage survival element, meaning you’ll need to take care to gather supplies and avoid the newly evolved fauna, flora, and micro organisms that litter the abandoned skyscrapers of old earth. They might not have the teeth of Ark Evolved, but don’t stop to admire them. You’ll also need to maintain massively customizable airships, as they take damage and require new tools to get to your goals.

This gorgeous looking new adventure is due to land on Steam Early Access in 2022, so if you’re looking for a different type of survival sim then head over to the official Stem Store page and have a look at the gameplay above.
