Players who dabble in GungHo’s match 3 titles once again have an opportunity to summon a heroic spirit now Fate/stay night is back in Puzzle & Dragons.
Having already featured once in GungHo’s headline puzzle title, the Fate franchise is about to return in a crossover that will, is already on. From now until 27 June, players can jump into Puzzle & Dragons and find a number of familiar servants and sorcerers. Shirou Emiya and Servant, Saber feature prominently in this new event, each of which gets new Assist Evolutions. This isn’t the only Fate character to turn up. Saber, Archer, Lancer, Assassin, and Berserker, as well as Shirou Emiya, Rin Tohsaka, Sakura Matou, Illyasviel von Einzbern, and Saber Alter all make an appearance as new Orb Skins, meaning this is more than just a replay of a previous events.
Dungeons
While it might not quite be as hype as the recent Evangelion tie in, there’s still tons to do in this update. New dungeons are available, in a time-limited format:
- Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] is a Special Dungeon with seven different difficulties. It features two special floors, The 5th Holy Grail War ★6 & ★8 and The 5th Holy Grail War ★5, that players can clear to skill up their collaboration characters when using them on their team. Players can also get Berserker’s Game Piece, Lancer’s Game Piece, and Archer’s Game Piece drops from the dungeon for characters in the Monster Exchange.
- Fate [HF] Challenge! is a One-Shot dungeon that rewards players with an additional pull from the Fate/stay night [HF] Memorial Egg Machine and two Saber’s Game Pieces.
If players want to face a challenge together, they can attempt Multiplayer! Fate/stay night [HF]!, a three-player multiplayer dungeon.
Loot
Of course, there’s plenty of loot. Player’s logging in can grab one free pull from the Fate/stay night [HF] Memorial Egg Machine, and because there’s gacha you can plenty of new in-store items too.
My own hope for this crossover event is really that it doesn’t represent canon because it’s hard enough trying to track the Fate timeline as it is. You can pick up Puzzle & Dragons for free on Android and iOS now.
