EA has announced a number of big new features coming to FIFA 20 Ultimate Team in time for its September 27th launch. Players will find a number of new social features that include social experiences, easier squad management and much more.
The focus of these features is, according to Creative Director Tyler Blair, to provide players with both long- and short-term progression goals. These are designed to last from the beginning of the season through the end. Further, customization options allow players to express their unique style and to find simpler ways to play “with or against friends”.
Players will find each Season broken down into a series of objectives: Daily, Weekly, Season, and Dynamic Objectives. Each comes with their own set of rewards that can include XP, rewards, and much more. “Completing Objectives and earning XP will progress your Level and the Season Rewards tab.” This season there are 30 Levels, each with its own unique Reward or Reward choice.
Here’s what EA sent along to give you a bird’s eye view of the recent developer update:
- FUT Friendlies: a new hub to play FUT with friends locally or online, as well as head-to-head online in traditional 11v11 gameplay, with or without House Rules. There are also four new brand ways to play: Mystery Ball, King of the Hill, Max Chemistry, and Swaps.
- Refined Objectives System: players can transform the way they play FUT, with new ways to progress and to personalize their FUT Club, along with a range of time-limited and grouped tasks that allows for more complex and rewarding objectives.
- New Customization Options create a truly unique FUT Club with new Club Customisation that provides new custom kits, club crests, stadium dressings and banners, celebrations, and more.
- Squad Management: a redesigned Squad Screen enables players to access their Active Squad, Transfer Market, and Club Content quickly from one location for the first time.
The blog on the official site goes into a LOT more detail about each feature mentioned above as well as a number of other, slightly smaller features that are also coming in the update.
FIFA 20 Ultimate Team will be launching for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 27, 2019.
