Respawn Entertainment is getting ready to kick off the next season of gameplay in Apex Legends. During Season 4: Assimilation, players will discover more of what makes Revenant tick, what motivates the robotic assassin, and his motives for taking out the ever-popular Jimmie “Forge” McCormick. To tease a bit of what’s in store, Respawn released a new video that sets the tone for the upcoming season and “adds Revenant’s villainous background and aggressive attack skills to this cast of misfits, outcasts, drifters, and grifters”.
“Revenant used to be human. He was the greatest hitman the Mercenary Syndicate ever had. But when his programming eventually failed, he saw what Hammond Robotics had turned him into a walking nightmare of steel and vestigial flesh. The return of Hammond Robotics to the Outlands has renewed his thirst for vengeance, and he won’t stop until they’re all dead. Of course, he doesn’t mind eviscerating a few Legends along the way.”
In addition to the story content being added for Season 4, players will also find:
- New Hammond Robotics worksites popping up around World’s Edge.
- The Sentinel bolt-action rifle.
- Over 100 new Battle Pass items including Legendary skins, Apex Packs, Loading Screens, Music Packs, and more.
- Ranked Series 3 split into 6-week splits. It will feature the new Master Tier that includes the top 500 players by platform.
