Borderlands 3 will be receiving its first campaign DLC on December 19th. The campaign is called “Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot” and will see players set off to visit Handsome Jack’s casino.
The DLC is primarily aimed at endgame players who have managed to access Sanctuary 3. As they set off for the casino, they’ll have to take on a number of enemies including “crazed casino-goers” and Hyperion security. Players will need to fight their way through enemies to access the vault containing Legendary loot and a pile of Eridium.
Enemies and loot will scale to a player’s level. Rewards include skins, emotes, new heads, an ECHO Device skin, weapon trinkets, and other gear.
Players who own the BL3 Season Pass will have the DLC added as part of the purchase price. The Season Pass runs $49.99. Those who don’t yet own the Season Pass will be able to purchase the DLC separately, though the price has not yet been revealed.
