The Fortnite team has published a new Dev Update video featuring Lead System Designer Eric Williamson and his take on the weapon balance and team killing in the Battle Royale mode. The developers agree that team killing is a problem and are taking steps to address that, however, the video itself did not go into specifics beyond reporting those players to help the devs out.
In the very near future, the developers will open a public test server to experiment with some bigger changes to the core game such as weapon and combat feel and accuracy.
The team is also adding a new silenced SMG that will be the quietest gun in the game. The standard version of the weapon gets its damage boosted and the magazine size increased.
