Fortnitemares is back and Fortnitemares 2020: Midas’ Revenge players can be part of the ghoulish action from today.
You might have noticed the seasons are starting to change. It’s getting darker, Halloween events are appearing, and there’s a gang of eerie characters roaming around a new Ghoulish Isle. Ok, that’s just in Fortnite. Today, fans of Fortnite can head back into the hit battle royale with the expectation of some new freakish sights between now and 3 November.
The new version of Fortnitemares went live earlier today and we now know that a ghoulish version of Midas and his gang of misfits are wandering the Fortnite map. Shadow Midas has taken over The Authority and it’s up to you to stop him and his purple gang of ectoplasmic minions. Players participating in Solo, Duos, or Squad matches that are eliminated will return to the battle as a Shadow fr your shot at Nightmare Royale while you wield unusual abilities, so don’t expect this exorcism to be straight forward.
These purple invaders aren’t the only thing to drop in on Fortnitmares season. Players can expect to find the Pumpkin Rocket Launcher, fight foes with the Fiend Hunter Crossbow, ride on a Witch Broom, and employ a new invention by Midas. All this content comes hand in hand with a bunch of new rewards including the Midas’ Shadow Wrap, the Smash O’-Lantern Pickaxe, and Bobo Back Bling. This is only a sampling of what’s to come and if all that ghostbustingng is wearing you a bit thin then you can always head to the Afterlife Party at the Fortnite Main Stage in Party Royale on October 31 at 9 PM ET.
