Strange things are afoot at the DurrrBurger. Assemble the squad and get ready for the launch of Fortnite with the “Hard Days Night” cinematic short. Launch is scheduled to begin at the end of the month, though Epic’s calling it “Early Access”. Presumably, this is because the EA period is a buy-in sort of deal, with the actual launch in 2018 being when the game goes Free to Play.
What is Fortnite?
A hybrid MMO-Shooter-Tower Defense, Fortnite sees players taking the role of humanity’s saviors as they hunt, craft, collect, and build epic forts during the day and defend them against massive waves of alien undead at night. There are multiple classes to choose from, level up, and tons of weapons and traps to build and learn. There’s a whole story-based PVE campaign, tons of PVP and PVE multiplayer modes, and more. We’ll be sure to offer up our thoughts on the game with a review after Early Access begins.
