If you have a long memory…or if you’re just plain…er…old, you may remember Taito’s 1983 classic arcade game, Front Line. If you’ve got a nostalgic bent nearly 40 years later and if you have a PlayStation 4, you’re in luck. The game has made a triumphant return in 2018.
Front Line is a vertical shooter where you take on the role of a one-armed commando. Doing what he does best, he runs into the fight with guns blazing and, in an inexplicable manner, also manages to toss grenades and drive tanks.
You can grab hold of a copy of HAMSTER’s game from the PS Store for a mere $8. That’s not much to pay for a walk down memory lane OR to introduce the kiddies to real gaming, is it?
Front Line
FRONT LINE is an action game released by TAITO in 1983. All alone, you must use pistols and grenades to take out a group of hostiles. You can also combat the enemy by climbing into the blue tanks and armored vehicles on the battlefield.
The “Arcade Archives” series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces. Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time.
