Frozenheim Sets Sail for Full Release

Frozenheim

Hyperstrange and Paranoid Interactive have announced that their Viking-themed RTS Frozenheim is leaving early access for full retail release. As part of the launch day, a new update has been deployed that brings new visuals and gameplay elements into the game as well as the fourth story campaign. The latter brings the main narrative to a close but also introduces a procedural map generation system that extends the life of the game exponentially beyond the pre-defined scenarios.

The game offers players elaborate management mechanics and multiple progression trees to balance as they expand their settlement. It features RTS combat mechanics that challenge a player’s tactical management and skill. The goal is to head out into the wilderness by foot or by boat to expand territory, discover new resources, and to warily keep an eye on enemy forces who may be preparing for an all-out attack. Seeking out allies is a must along the way. Players need to prove themselves worthy of becoming an Earl to the masses.

Features include:

  • Build and expand a Viking village from nothing to a rich, unconquerable settlement
  • Forage, hunt, fish, grow your food, and keep your clan safe as the season’s pass
  • Find your own progression path as you learn to utilize new buildings and units
  • Explore the fjords of Midgard, launch raid parties on foot, or set sail in your Drakkar
  • Seek the blessings of ancient shrines and build temples to win the favor of Asgard
  • Raid other players or form alliances with them in multiplayer matches
  • Capture the raw beauty of the Frozen North in photo-mode
