Pre-registration just opened for G.I. Joe: War on Cobra as D3 Go and Hasbro confirmed that the latest battle against evil kicks off this January.
Coming to mobile platforms via the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore, the latest excursion with the Joes is a handheld tactical task that draws from the rich history of the G.I. Joe franchise. Taking on a plethora of new scenarios, age-old Cobra villains, and even other players, this hybrid action base battler seems set to meld the cartoon action of 1980s Saturday morning TV with the mobile gaming practices of today. Joes! Roll Out!
It isn’t all wholesome fan service either. Players getting ready to battle can build their ultimate fighting force by collecting Hero, Troop, Command, and Vehicle cards inspired by the long-running toy line. Once you’ve built and equipped your squad for a range of land, sea and, air assault it’s time to pick a side. Both G.I. Joe and Cobra appear to be playable in this mobile clash, allowing players to choose from a variety of unique attack strategies. Anybody who badgered their parents for a Snakeeyes back before the turn of the millennium will recognize some of the featured cards below.
