While some players are exploring the galaxy in Honkai Star Rail, Genshin Impact fans are in for a treat. HoYoverse dropped the character teaser for the long-awaited 5-star Dendro Catalyst Baizhu, allowing viewers to sneak a peek into his everyday life.

When it comes to the game, Baizhu is certainly not a newcomer, having been around for a long while alongside with Qiqi. However, with Genshin Impact Version 3.6 Phase II, this mysterious doctor will finally become playable. And have you noticed the throwback to those early Mondstadt commissions from the trailer? Now we know the mysterious benefactor behind Anna’s journey to recovery that was only possible with the help of her brother Anthony and the Traveler.
Baizhu is a Dendro support character who can both shield and heal his teammates. His Elemental Skill will unleash a Gossamer Sprite to pursue nearby opponents, dealing several instances of Dendro damage before returning to him and restoring HP to all nearby party members.
When his Elemental Burst is unleashed, Baizhu will periodically generate a Seamless Shield. When the Seamless Shield’s effects expire, or when it is shattered, it will heal Baizhu’s own active character and unleash Spiritvein attacks against nearby opponents.
The second part of the patch that will kick off May 2nd and run through May 23rd will introduce two new characters – Baizhu, the star of this article, and 4-star Dendro Claymore Kaveh – as well as new 5-star Catalyst “Jadefall’s Splendor” and more. Genshin Impact also teased a character coming to the game at a later-point: an adorable Inazuman youkai Kirara.
