Genshin Impact is not pulling any punches when it comes to introducing the new Lantern Rite character Lan Yan. This fleeting swallow is the newest Anemo Catalyst 4-star, and an impressive shielder at that. She can convert the shield’s element into Hydro, Pyro, Cryo or Electro to absorb the corresponding Elemental damage. After the conversion, she can also leap into the air to attack, dealing the same type of Elemental damage to her opponents.
“In this land of towering mountains and shimmering waters, swallow nests can always be found under the neighbors’ eaves. Fret not their emptiness. When winter passes to ring in spring, new feathers will weave.”
Lan Yan is joining the roster of the game in Version 5.3 Phase II which kicks off tomorrow. In addition to being featured on the rerun banner, you can pick her copy from the Lantern Rite festival event.
