The developers of action-adventure Genshin Impact had been on hand during a lengthy special program dedicated to Version 5.0: Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn. It’s time to set out for the land of Pyro, Natlan. The new adventure begins on August 28!
“A competition as fierce as a roaring inferno, and a clash as dazzling as a cascade of iridescent gems. On a hallowed night, the sparks ignited by warriors fall like stars, converging into the triumphant return of the sacred flame.”
Natlan, also known as the Nation of War, honors her warriors at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, where the Champion of each tribe is chosen through a tournament. Unlike the previous lands visited by the Traveler and Paimon, it does not have one big capital. Instead, it is split into six tribes. We will get a chance to meet three of them in the upcoming version. They will be represented by the now-familiar faces: little Kachina is one of younglings of the Children of Echoes; cheerful Mualani hails from the People of the Springs; and silent Kinich comes from the Scions of the Canopy.
Together, the trio make their appearances on the Version’s banners as well.
Genshin Impact – Version 5.0 Banners:
- Phase 1: Mualani (5-star Hydro Catalyst) & Kazuha (5-star Anemo Sword) + Kachina (4-star Geo Polearm);
- Phase 2: Kinich (5-star Dendro Claymore) & Raiden Shogun (5-star Electro Polearm)
Note that all players will get a copy of Kachina for free through the Natlan storyline. Kachina, Mualani, and Kinich are all capable of locating regional specialties, and havedifferent talents of restoring Stamina, accumulating Phlogiston, or increasing movement speed.
However, there’s more to Natlan than human tribes that inhabit it! It is also the land of Dragons. Although their kind is quite different from Vishaps previously encountered by the Traveler. Called Saurians, they are the result of a long evolution and have evolved to coexist with humans, and they have even become their faithful companions.
In Version 5.0, players will encounter and befriend three types of Saurians, and learn to use their abilities. The Tepetlisaurus are good at tunneling and climbing, the Yumkasaurus can pull themselves in a chosen direction, while the Koholasaurus can move quickly on water and liquid Phlogiston.
If you feel like you are falling behind, worry not! To begin Natlan’s Archon Quest, all you need to do is to reach Adventure Rank 28 and above, and
have completed all of Liyue’s Archon Quests.
Genshin Impact – Version 5.0 Additions Include:
- New region: Natlan, the Nation of War, with the first three out of six tribes: Children of Echoes, Scions of the Canopy, People of the Springs
- Quick Start for new Genshin players: Natlan map unlock criteria – complete all Mondstadt Archon Quests and reach AR 19; Natlan Archon Quest unlock criteria – complete all of Liyue’s Archon Quests and reach AR 28.
- New exploration mechanic: transformation into Natlan’s Saurians.
- New Artifacts & Weapons;
- New characters: Kinich (5-star Dendro Claymore), Mualani (5-star Hydro Catalyst), Kachina (4-star Geo, Polearm);
- Special daily login event for V5.0, offering Intertwined Fate x10;
- Anniversary rewards including Primogems ×1,600, two exclusive gadgets “Firstborn Firesprite” and “Kaboom Box,” as
well as more bonuses. Additionally, players can invite a 5-star character from the Standard Wish lineup to their team for free. - Updates to the Weapon Event Wish: the overall number of Fate Points needed to guarantee the chosen weapon dropping by one;

- Completing the Archon Quest and Tribal Chronicles (new Reputation system) within the designated duration will give extra rewards.
- New tool to redeem Artifacts with designated affixes will also arrive in the later version;

Genshin Impact – Version 5.0 Events Include:
- Traces of Artistry event. A Graffiti expert extends a grand invitation to you and Paimon “to travel around Natlan in search of inspiration”. Grants event-exclusive 4-star weapon.
- Of Thorns and Crowns. Apply your wisdom and strength, conquer all imaginary challenges, defeat your adversaries, and claim plentiful rewards.
- Mementos of Teyvat. Capture moments of the past to look back on to obtain various rewards.
- Dodoco’s Boom-Bastic Escapades. Visit Mondstadt’s gardens and discover a novel tabletop game featuring Dodoco.
- Ley Line Overflow.
