The developers of anime action-adventure Genshin Impact have taken to the official site with a new notice. In it, the developers have revealed that the game’s visuals and functions will receive an upgrade in the upcoming Version 5.0. On the other hand, the upgrade will also mean higher performance requirements.
“While striving to keep the minimum device requirements for Version 5.0 the same, we will use stricter performance optimization strategies to ensure stable functioning of the game after the version update.”
Devices for which adjustments will be made are as follows:
- iOS: Models with an A12 processor (or lower)
- Android: Models with a Snapdragon 865, Dimensity 1200 (8050), Kirin 9000SL, or Samsung Exynos 1080 processor (or lower)
- PlayStation 4 Series (all)
Compared to the current version, visual performance on the devices above will be decreased. Here’s an example offered by the developers: when playing Genshin Impact on the devices mentioned above, the resolution of some image details and smaller objects will decrease, the effect range of some special effects will decrease, etc.
At the moment, the game is going through the first phase of Version 4.6. The second phase will kick off on May 14th, bringing along new banners and events. The second chapter of Cyno’s Story Quest will also be available then.
GENSHIN IMPACT VERSION 4.6 PHASE 2 EVENTS INCLUDE:
- New Character Banners, featuring the reruns of Wanderer (5-star Anemo Catalyst) & Baizhu (5-star Dendro Catalyst);
- New Weapon Banner, featuring Tullaytullah’s Remembrance (Catalyst) and Jadefall’s Splendor (Catalyst);
- Windtrace: Seekers and Strategy event (May 14 to May 27). During the event, participate in the Windtrace games to obtain Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Weapon Ascension Materials, and other rewards.
- Specially-Shaped Saurian Search event (May 22 – June 3). A new part of the quest will begin every two day. Complete the quest to unlock the associated challenge, defeat it and obtain Primogems, hero’s Wit, Talent Materials, and more.
- Overflowing Mastery (May 27 to June 3). Successfully challenge Talent Level-Up Material Domanis with Original Resin to double your rewards.
- Cyno Story Quest – Lupus Aureus Chapter: Act II. Permanently available after May 14. Requires AR40+, completion of Archon Quest “Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises” & Cyno’s first Story Quest.
