The developers of open-world action RPG Genshin Impact have shared a new animated short dedicated to Pyro Archon Mavuika. Tunning for over 10 minutes, it gives viewers a glimpse into the past of Natlan 500 years ago, and the toll Mavuika’s plan has taken on her. We also get to see some of Mavuika’s old friends in action, the ones who carried the Ancient Names now inherited by the six heroes of Natlan.
It also shows Mavuika sharing a few sisterly moments with Hine, her younger sibling introduced during Archon Quests’ flashbacks.

Genshin’s newest update kicks off on January 1st, introducing three new characters – Mavuika, Citlali & Lan Yan – as well as the Pyro Element for the Traveler. There is plenty of content to enjoy, both unique to Natlan and taking the Travelers back to places already familiar.
- Lantern Rite returns! Take part in the event to claim Primogems ×1,600 and the new glider “Wings of Fate’s Course Intertwined” (via in-game mails), Intertwined Fate ×10 (via daily login event), a free 4-star Liyue character (via Lantern Rite event), and Xiangling’s new outfit (via Festive Fever in the event).
- New Archon Quest Act V: join Mavuika to face the Abyss in a decisive battle. Unlock the Traveler’s Pyro element.
- Three new characters: Mavuika (5-star Pyro Claymore), Citlali (5-star Cryo Catalyst) & Lan Yan (4-star Anemo Catalyst).
- Two new outfits: Hu Tao – “Cherries Snow-Laden” (limited-time discount), and Xiangling – “New Year’s Cheer” (free reward from Lantern Rite).
- Two New Bosses: “Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker” and the new Weekly Boss “Lord of Eroded Primal Fire.”
- New Additions: Rhythm game becomes permanent, and new Envisaged Echoes: Ganyu and Kazuha.
- New Optimizations: Boss respawn time reduced to 5 seconds without the need to teleport away, Artifact Inventory Limit increased to 2,100, and an improved Training Guide.
