Developer HoYoverse has announced and started a new web event for anime action-adventure Genshin Impact. Called Tales of the Youkai, it is building on the currently ongoing in-game event Akitsu Kimodameshi, the Test of Courage.
Between now and December 30th, Travelers are invited to take part in the new web event, write their own light novel dedicated to the Youkai and get some Primogems and Mora in the process. To participate, you have to be Adventure Rank 30 or above.
You can gather inspiration by logging into Genshin Impact and completing the corresponding missions in the game. Inspiration can be used to unlock creative levels with different youkai themes. The first time you clear a youkai-themed level, you will receive a reward. You can create several pieces of content for the same unlocked youkai theme, and you can see a variety of creative results in readers’ replies.
Complete all light novels to receive Primogems ×120, Mystic Enhancement Ore ×5, Hero’s Wit ×10, and Mora ×100,000. The in-game rewards will be distributed via in-game mail. The mail will expire after 30 days, so don’t forget to claim the rewards in time.
Currently, Genshin Impact is going through Version 3.3 Phase I that has added two new playable characters: 5-star Wanderer and a 4-star Faruzan as well as the new Interlude quest, Genius Invokation TCG, and more. Once Phase I reaches its conclusion, Raiden Shogun and Kamisato Ayato will be up for re-runs in Phase II.
