Genshin Impact Version 1.4 Gets Windblume Festival Event This Month

Genshin Impact Version 1.4 is set to arrive on 17 March.

The Lantern Festival is barely over for Liyue but it looks like we’re set to get a brand new set of events in miHoYo’s global hit RPG Genshin Impact. The new Genshin Impact Version 1.4 update is set to download onto PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on 17 March, and it’s brining the Windblume Festival with it. Anybody who takes part in this new adventure in the anime styled RPG will be able to join the citizens of Monstadt in their annual celebration of freedom and love as blossoms fill the air.

What’s New

Much like recent updates, this new festival will add more than just background noise to its host city. Monstadt will find itself full of activity. The Knights of Favonius and the Adventurers’ Guild will organize a series of mini game and challenges for players to take part in, although probably not a repeat of the tower defense style experience quite yet. Rewards are expected to include the Windblume Festival Commemorative Balloon and the Windsong Lyre.

Version 1.4 isn’t just about the Windblume Festival. The new update is set to add a new 4 star weapon and a new type of story quest with multiple endings. You’ll also find out more about the dreaded Abysall Order as the central story quest creeps further forward and Rosaria is due to join the roster of playable characters, bringing yet another pyro polearm wielder into the gacha pool.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open-world action RPG that brings players to the visually stunning world of Teyvat. The player takes on the role of the mysterious “Traveler,” who sets off on a journey to discover the fate of their lost sibling and unveils the mysterious secrets of Teyvat along the way. The second such game from Shanghai Otaku’s miHoyo, after Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Imapct took global gaming y storm when it released last year and you can check it out for free over on the official website now.
